Majnu is an upcoming Telugu romantic comedy-drama film directed by Virinchi Varma of Uyyala Jampala fame and produced by Geetha Golla and P. Kiran under Anandi Art Creations and Keva Movies respectively. The film stars Nani and Anu Emmanuel(in her Telugu debut), in the lead roles along with Vennela Kishore, Priya Shri and Posani Krishna Murali in supporting roles.
The film's first look poster released during July 2016 and the teaser was released on 12 August 2016. The film is scheduled for release on 17 September 2016.
The film is promoted with the tagline "Stop Drinking, Start Loving" although few posters mentioned "Stop Waiting, Start Loving". It is also the 3rd consecutive Nani release in 2016 and is expected to do well after the back-to-back successes of his previous ventures, Krishna Gaadi Veera Prema Gaadha and Gentleman.
The film is about the sentimental existence of a drunkard colleague chief Aditya (Nani) and his associations with 2 ladies (Anu Emmanuel and Priya Shri) while he endeavors to compose a lighthearted comedy story.

Nani was the chief, Virinchi Varma's underlying decision for the lead part. Anu Emmanuel was given a role as the focal female lead denoting her Telugu debut. Debutant Priya Shri stars as the second female lead. Gopi Sunder, who had scored music for Nani's 2015 blockbuster, Bhale Magadivoy was picked as the music chief. Vennela Kishore, Posani Krishna Murali, Saptagiri and Satya Krishnan were further declared to be available in the task. The film is financed by Geetha Golla and P. Kiran.
