Premam (English: Love) is an upcoming 2016 Telugu language coming-of-age musical-romantic comedy film directed by Chandoo Mondeti. It is an official remake of the 2015 Malayalam film of the same name and features Naga Chaitanya, Shruti Haasan, Madonna Sebastian, and Anupama Parameswaran in lead roles,and Daggubati Venkatesh appears in a cameo role.
Release was initially planned for 15 July 2016, but postponed to August 2016 to avoid clash with another film starring Chaitanya.
Premam is the Telugu remake of 2015 Malayalam film of the same name, directed by Alphonse Putharen. Chaitanya and Sruthi Haasan plays the characters portrayed by Nivin Pauly and Sai Pallavi, while Madonna Sebastian and Anupama Parameshwaran reprises their role from the original.
